This plane has been used as a backup for traffic watch in the Washington, DC area and is now surplus to my needs.  I bought it in 1999 with just under 3000 hours on it, almost all of which was put on it by private owners.  Thus, it's seen very little of the abuse that comes with primary training.   The people who have been flying it for me are all high-time professionals who have taken good care of it.

Exterior/Interior ratings 6/6; it's original paint but in relatively decent shape.  The seats show a little wear but are not ripped.  The carpet is nice, although the side kick panels and the upper instrument cover show wear.

The engine is just a hair over TBO but doing well.  I can sell it either way, as is or overhauled.  My thinking though, is that unless you're going to put it into commercial service I'd leave it alone.  It's doing fine.

Yes, that's a Microwave Landing System receiver at the bottom of the stack. This aircraft at one point served as a test bed for AOPA, and it was one of three equipped with prototype MLS receivers for evaluation. Locally, there's an MLS at Andrews Air Force Base...it's quite an experience; rock-solid from 30+ miles out.

This aircraft has been maintained under a 100 hour inspection program and is currently in license and flying. It doesn't need anything other than cosmetics; you can get in it and go anywhere.  It has $5000 in extras on it, and is ready to go.   It was professionally appraised in June, 2003 at a retail value of $46,226.  Located at Hyde Field (W32) in Clinton, Maryland.

Offered at 40,000/OBO
